Authorities and Infrastructures

Authorities, etc.: In view of the decision of the Governing Body (GB) all the obsolete books of the H. S. course and old pattern degree course are to be disposed off and sold through the Library Sub Committee (LSC) and amount of money collected through the process are to be utilized for purchasing books for the college library.

Infrastructures: There is 1 workstation at the first floor and in addition to these upcoming workstations with 6 computers for users to access e-resources with reading hall facility.

Library Collection Development: The college library presently has more than 25,500 (Approx.) books. These include text books and rare costly reference books and up-dated information books.

The Chakdaha College Library is following a tradition of bifurcating of old edition and new edition books and housing in controlled and active stack area respectively for retrieval of new and old books by the users.

The college subscribes to journals, newspapers and periodicals. The following Newspapers / Magazines / Periodicals / Journals are available from Chakdaha College Library for the users (Faculties, Students and Non Teaching staff) as reference service: a. 365 Din; b. Newspapers and Periodicals are issued against Library cards for Reading in the library. Journals will be issued for reading in the library only.
