About the Department:

Environmental Studies, previously a compulsory subject in the old UG-CBCS curriculum, is now offered as a value-added course in the current UG-NEP curriculum. It's important to note that this isn't a full-fledged Department. Initially, classes were taught by faculty members from different departments. Presently, there's only one faculty member dedicated to Environmental Studies, who provides a friendly environment in the teaching-learning process as he goes beyond the scheduled hours of classroom teaching. The faculty concerned is easily approachable and extends his helping hands to each and every student as and when needed.
