INTRODUCTION

Objectives of Laboratory classes

• Develop intuitions and a deeper understanding of concepts.
• Apply concepts of learning in theoretical classes.
• Live experiences of basic phenomena.
• Develop critical, quantitative thinking.
• Learn to use scientific apparatus.
• Better appreciate the role of experimentation in science and other laboratory-based subjects.
• Test important laws and rules.
• Promoting fast computation parallel to pen and paper concepts.

Keeping in mind the aforesaid objectives of different laboratories, the Laboratory sub-committee is formed under the guidance and supervision of the Teachers’ Council of Chakdaha College to give the maximum benefit to the students so that they can develop the ability to explain the process and application related to their subjects.

For the smooth running of the different laboratories of our college, the laboratory sub-committee made some prescripts to achieve the goal of the laboratories.

OBJECTIVES

To prepare a standard operating procedure (SOP) for each laboratory.

• To prepare the guidelines for maintaining the safety of different laboratories.
• To prepare the list of new instruments as per requisition received from the concerned department.
• To prepare the list of existing instruments for repairing/servicing/maintenance as per the requirement or/and requisition received from the concerned department.
• To intimate or/and provide guidelines for different laboratories to maintain the Stock register and Asset register of the laboratories.
