INTRODUCTION
A scholarship is an award of financial aid for a student to further his or her education. Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria, which usually reflect the values andpurposesof theaward
The Student Scholarship Monitoring & Welfare Cell (SSMWC) has been formed and established to serve the purpose of providing helpto students fortheir higher studies. The Cell aims high to give ample amount offinancialhelp (various kinds of scholarships / concessions to students) needed by the students.
OBJECTIVES
- To create awareness programmes regarding the special needs of different sections at the beginning of the academic session in the institution.
- To create awareness of welfare measures among deserving students by the way of scholarships/concessions.
- To take steps to make education affordable and accessible to meritorious and economically disadvantaged students.
- To provide financial assistance to students through awarding scholarships/concessions.
Activities: Roles and Responsibilities
- General guidelines regarding policy formulation and implementation for the disbursement of scholarships/concessions to needy students.
- Information to the students on scholarship/concession available.
- Information to the students on the last dates and procedure of application.
- Gathering information related to the process of application for scholarship/concession.
- Maintenance of relevant records of scholarship/concession applied by students.
- Regular reporting to the Principal.
