Seminar, Workshop and Symposium Sub-Committee
INTRODUCTION
The Seminar Committee is a committee that serves to schedule, communicate and oversee monthly seminars hosted by the college, to increase research collaborations/ analytical skills/ competitive learning between faculty and students of multiple disciplines and to promote excellence in the future.
OBJECTIVES / ACTIVITIES
The main objectives of this committee are ;
- Encouraging interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration between teachers, students, and staff of the college.
- Organising seminars and workshops at regular intervals to keep the process of knowledge sharing continuously.
- Inviting dignitaries for delivering their valuable lectures.
- Presenting professional development opportunities and internal and external resources that will help enhance students' skills.
- Introducing academic and/ or non-academic career pathways and sharing valuable career experiences to support students.
- Providing students with Presentation and interaction opportunities to improve their communication skills.
- Offering a welcoming and inclusive environment to discuss important topics, including but not limited to diversity, equity, inclusion, social awareness, and cultural differences.
The members of the sub-committee sit together, as and when needed, to discuss indetail the objectives and outcomes of the seminar organised by the college and by various departments. The smooth running of various seminars and workshops throughout the year to ensure the quality of the teaching-learning process in the college is the topmost priority of this sub-committee. In this connection, it should be mentioned here that this committee has already organised various important seminars like “Automation in Higher Educational Institutions”, “Diabetes Awareness and Prevention Programme”, “Problems in Documentation for Submission of AQAR and SSR: A Review etc.
